Good Communication Produces Good Teams
Very few people know how to communicate well. Communication skills are
rarely taught. Most people get along the best way they know how by learning from
their family, peers and colleagues—who have never been taught! Why is it this
skill is constantly overlooked when building teams? Teamwork courses and
challenging situations are helpful but they never get to the heart of good
interpersonal communication. How do you get your message across? Why are voice
and image so important? How do you choose content for a message? How do you deal
with criticism? All these questions and more are answered for you.
What Is Your Voice Saying About You?
How do you respond to someone whose voice annoys you—no matter
what they are saying? Your voice is an important part of getting your message
across. When people have poor or tense voice habits, the result is misread or
unheard messages.
It is not difficult to improve your voice. Contrary to what most people think: “it’s
just my voice and it cannot be changed”, there are some simple ways to improve
voice quality. Meribeth is known for her magical work with the voice. In 2001
she was given the Van Lawrence Fellowship Award for her contribution to the
field of voice and teaching. She is happy to give talks and practical workshop
on improving your voice.
Seven Steps to Confidence
There is no magic pill for confidence; it is a process. When you
were a child you rarely questioned whether you had the confidence to go for
something, you did it without thinking—you were willing to give it a go. You had
not yet developed an active inner critic or voice that made you hesitate.
Learning to talk back to and change that inner voice is an important step to
creating confidence. You will learn how to do this and be free to change
attitudes and habits that have held you back in the past. Meribeth will show you
techniques and methods for change that are fun and that you will want to
remember.
Training Trainers
It is one thing to teach people subject matter, another to teach
them how to share it. Meribeth is a teacher of trainers, and has been for over
35 years. She firmly believes that people can be taught to teach. She is known
for her genuinely helpful tools and creative approach to learning and teaching.
This is not gimmick-filled work. It gets right to the heart of the matter and
fosters deep understanding of how people learn.
Program for Women
The Alchemy and Human Change program for women combines
techniques from self-development, the creative arts and spirituality Meribeth
will take you on an exciting journey to a positive self-image, better posture, a
voice that fits your message and a clear message about yourself and what you
want.
